Police closed part of Sheerness after two cars crashed.

Trinity Road was shut off at about 10.10am and traffic diverted through Strode Crescent and Winstanley Road.

An ambulance spokesman could only confirm one person was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after they were assessed by paramedics.

Buses were unable to get through.

A police spokesman said a road closure was put in place while the cars were recovered.

The route had reopened by 3.15pm.
