Property raid in Minster uncovers shoeboxes stashed with cannabis and £30,000 cash

A man has been arrested after shoeboxes packed with drugs and £30,000 in cash were discovered during a raid.
Officers found the illegal substance and money following a report of antisocial behaviour in Sittingbourne.
Police were made aware of four people smoking marijuana, near St Giles Church in Church Road, Tonge.
Four men were searched and a 22-year-old man was found in possession of a large quantity of cash, a mobile phone and cannabis.
The man was arrested, and a further search was carried out at a property in Minster, on Sheppey, where the police discovered shoeboxes containing the Class B drug and a large quantity of money.
He has been released on bail until June 4 while enquiries continue.
