World Cup football fans at Red Lion in Blue Town, Sheppey, can watch football... on the loo

00:01, 13 June 2014

Punters at a Sheppey pub won’t miss a single goal during the world cup – even if they happen to need the loo.

The Red Lion in Blue Town is really getting into the football spirit and has had three new TV screens installed – including one in the toilets.

Staff will also be wearing their sports kits to celebrate the competition.

All of the matches will be shown at the venue, with food being served during half-time.

But remember to behave, as staff will be equipped with red and yellow cards to be issued for bad behaviour.

Jeanette Roberts, bar manager at the High Street pub, said they wanted to try to put football back on the map and get everyone enjoying it again.

“We are really trying to put some effort in and encourage people to come out and watch the games,” she said.
