A Sheppey pub which served actor Michael Crawford and author Uwe Johnson is due to go under the hammer at auction.
The Napier in Alma Road, Sheerness, is due to be sold off by Clive Emson next month, along with a plot of land next door which has planning permission for two semi-detached properties.
The Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em star Crawford revealed he visited the pub during a break in filming 40 years ago.
And German literary star Uwe Johnson also had his own stall at the pub where he used to write about the people he met.
He moved to the Island in 1974 after living in Rome and then New York. He died 10 years later aged 49.
Mr Johnson was most famous for his books on the divisions between East and West Germany, having grown up in East Germany before moving to West Germany.
As well as a bar and restaurant area on the ground floor, the pub has a living room, four bedrooms, a bathroom, and a spare toilet on the top floor.
Lot 22 has been given a guide price of between £140,000 and £160,000 and is described as an "attractive public house".
"The property occupies a good size plot and offers potential for a number of schemes, subject to all necessary consents being obtained," the description added.
The pub, which is currently trading but will be empty when sold, is being marketed as a freehold with vacant possession.
The plans for the two semi-detached homes were approved in June 2018 but no works have yet begun.
A statement submitted in support of the application at the time said the land was then being used to house a timber storage shed.
Clive Emson managing director, James Emson said: "As we are all aware, there has been a great deal of national uncertainty and upheaval this year as well as the usual peaks and troughs associated with our industry.
"However, 2019 has proved yet again that property remains an excellent investment and that our auctions remain the best place to buy and sell."
The auction will take place from 11am at The Clive Emson Conference Centre, Kent Showground, Detling, on Tuesday, December 10.
