Children at a Sheppey school took part in a production of a play set in the First World War.
Year 4 pupils at Minster Primary School, Brecon Chase, appeared in War Horse on Thursday last week.
They have been using the text to learn about this term’s topic which is all about the Great War.
There was also an after-show party with refreshments donated by Tesco, Sheerness, which were sold to parents with £150 raised for Help for Heroes.
Earlier in the week, an actor from Rainbow Theatre Company came into the school dressed in authentic soldier’s uniform to speak to the youngsters.
Year 4 teacher Claire Hayes said: “I think they all definitely surprised themselves.
“They were all very reluctant at the beginning but they definitely excelled and even the most nervous of them performed fantastically.
“The whole thing has been a huge success.”
