Motorists have been warned there could be further ongoing problems with the traffic lights at Queenborough Corner today.
Engineers say they have managed to fix a set of traffic lights at the busy junction, but have admitted there may still be intermittent problems.
The signals at Queenborough Corner near the Aviator pub were not working yesterday and this morning.
Workers from the Highways Agency, which is responsible for the lights, have visited the site and say they have managed to switch them back on.
A spokesman added that further investigations to find the source of the fault would be necessary.
He said it is not known how long it will be until they are fixed permanently.
