Problems with a bridge in Kent prevented trains from running this morning.
Passengers were unable to use the Sheerness line due to the problems at the Kingsferry Bridge.
Replacement buses were put in place between Sittingbourne and Sheerness.
National Rail said it expected disruption to be in place on the line until 1pm, however, the fault was repaired an hour early.
Southeastern tweeted: "CLEARED. The problem with the river bridge has been fixed and trains are now able to run again on the Sheerness Line."
