The A249 was closed for 40 minutes after a two-car smash.
It happened on the Sheerness-bound carriageway, just after the Sheppey Crossing, at about 6.40pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A Vauxhall Astra and a Mini Cooper were involved.
A police spokesman said no one was injured or arrested.
The road was closed until about 7.20pm, with traffic diverted over the Kingsferry Bridge.
