A rugby match has been abandoned after a Sheppey player had to be taken to hospital.
An ambulance was called to Tonbridge Juddians RFC this afternoon after the injury to island Development XV's Tom Wilder.
The injury was reported on the club's twitter feed.
Mr Wilder, whose twin brother was in the same team, suffered broken tibia and fibula bones and a broken ankle in his right leg and foot.
His dad Mick said his son was awaiting surgery at Pembury Hospital.
He added: "We would like to extend our thanks to all players and club members of Tonbridge Juddians RFC for their support and sportsmanship."
The Development side were playing their third game of the season in the Kent County RFU Shepherd Neame Invicta League Premier 2 East Division.
Having won their first two they were third in the table with Tonbridge Juddians III one place below them.
