One of Sheppey’s best-known pub restaurants is going under the hammer with a £500,000 guide price.
The Shurland Hotel at Eastchurch is to be auctioned as lot 226 at The Cumberland, London, by Allsop Auctions on Wednesday, March 30.
The 18-bedroom hotel with gym, spa and function room has been put on the market by estate agents Right Move. The owners have also submitted a pre-planning application to Swale council to build 13 self-contained one- and two-bedroom flats and six three-bedroom houses on the half-acre site.
The lot includes a Jacuzzi, steam room, 40-cover restaurant and a Spar convenience shop which has six years left to run on a 15-year lease.
