Oasis Isle of Sheppey Academy students have been rewarded for leading a school charity programme.
Sixth-formers Conner Matthams, Devon Dumont and Lauren Glock have organised four dementia cafe events.
They have also made regular visits to Barton Court Care Home and worked with NHS staff to educate fellow students about the condition.
Earlier this year, the youngsters addressed the Kent Dementia Conference in Dartford.
Their efforts have earned them a 2015 Swale Volunteer Team of the Year Award.
David Millar, the academy’s executive principal, presented the trio with a framed certificate and badges during an assembly.
He said: “Lauren, Conner and Devon are exceptional young people.
“Their dementia cafe initiative has enabled many students to gain a greater understanding and empathy for sufferers of this disease.”
