Children were shown how fun it can be to come to school every day after they were paid a visit by Attendance Ted.
The giant bear went to Queenborough primary, Edward Road, Queenborough, to meet the children.
Education welfare adviser Sue Currie works in schools on the Island and also donned the furry suit.
She said: “It’s to promote positive attendance and make the children aware of how much fun they have in school.
“The children loved it. One of them made a card to thank me for coming which was lovely.”
