Police were sent on a 10-and-a-half hour search for a missing teenage girl.
Officers were told at 4.30pm yesterday that a person had disappeared from Minster, Sheppey.
A spokesman said officers attended and "a full search of the local area" was carried out.
The Sheppey Coastguard Team was called to help just before 12.30am.
The girl was found at about 3am today and taken home.
Police did not comment on whether the helicopter was used in the search, despite social media reports.
They added: "I am unable to expand on where she is from or where exactly the search was carried out due to her being a child."
