Sheppey's Blaize China has to wait a little longer to see if she has done enough to get into The Voice semi-final.
The 21-year-old, from Leysdown, Sheppey, took to the stage Saturday evening and performed 'Light It Up' by Major Lazer, featuring Nyla and Fuse ODG.
But the lively performance was not enough to secure her future straight away as coach Meghan Trainor chose her teammate, Trinity-Leigh Cooper, to go through to the semi-finals.
Instead Blaize - who wrote and performed her own verse to the track - will have to rely on the public saving her next Saturday in the lifeline vote.
Also still in contention is second teammate, 18-year-old Darci Wilders.
Blaize was praised for her performance by Sir Tom Jones.
"I was so into it I thought 'oh no, is it over now'," the Welsh artist said.
"You sounded great, you looked great, the whole thing was great."
Black-Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am said: "A lot of singers come out here and do a good job but they don't speak to the audience.
"You did that today, that means that if you were to go and play at one of these festivals here you'd rock it."
Meghan, who was assisted by guest coach Ella Eyre, congratulated Blaize on the show.
"You know how hard that is to wrap and sing and your songwriting is so strong," she said.
"I'm so proud of you, 100%."
Blaize said: "I went out there, I gave it energy and I'm just proud of myself."
She joined team Meghan after wowing all four judges in the blind auditions in January with a rendition of Jax Jones' 'Instruction'.
