A woman had to be cut free from a car after an accident in Sheerness.
Firefighters from Sheppey and paramedics were called to St Helen’s Road at 1.50pm today (Thursday).
A Citroen Saxo and a Vauxhall Meriva were involved in the collision.
Crews used specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof from the Saxo and free the 40-year-old passenger.
She was treated at the scene for pains to her spine and chest and then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham by ambulance.
No one from the other car was injured.
Firefighters were there for about an hour and the road was closed.
