Two-vehicle crash closes A249 in Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey

A two-vehicle crash has closed part of the A249.

The southbound carriageway in Queenborough has been shut this evening following the collision.

Traffic information provider Inrix says two vehicles have been involved in the crash on the Isle of Sheppey.

Inrix reported the incident shortly after 7.30pm but it has not been confirmed when it happened.

The site reports the incident happened near the A2500 Leysdown exit.

Traffic in the area is understood to be coping well.

It has not been confirmed if there have been any injuries or when the carriageway wil reopen.

The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
