Two men arrested in Nursery Close, Sheerness, after disturbance

Two men have been arrested by armed officers following reports of a disturbance involving people with weapons.
The police were called at 6.41am today (June 28), to the incident in Nursery Close, Sheerness.
Patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene and two local men were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
The two arrested men, aged 56 and 27, and a third man, 23, detained on the same day, were later bailed to return to the police station on 25 September 2024, pending further investigation.
The matter is not related to another armed police incident in Eastchurch this afternoon.
