Two young women were reportedly attacked early this morning when they were walking in Sheerness.
The victims, who are aged 19 and 20, were allegedly approached on the corner of Invicta Road at around 3.30am by a man wearing a burgundy tracksuit.
The man, who is described as white and in his late 20s, hit one of the women, leaving her with cuts and bruises to her face.
He then reportedly launched an attack on the second woman by knocking her head against the wall and pulling out her hair.
Speaking about the incident, the brother of the 20-year-old victim said: “They had just been on a night out in Sheerness and were heading home.
“No one should have to fear walking home.
“This is sick and twisted.
“I hope people can find it in their hearts to help track down this man.”
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area but could not find the offender or offenders.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
One of the girls is believed to still be recovering in hospital.
