Woman ‘raped in toilet cubicle’ at Tesco supermarket, Sheerness

A woman has reported she was raped inside a supermarket toilet cubicle.
It allegedly happened yesterday (October 1) inside the ladies’ public facilities at the Tesco in Bridge Road, Sheerness.
During the incident, the victim reported she was followed into the toilet by a man who then sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as Eastern European, around 5ft 3in, aged approximately 30 years old and wearing a blue tracksuit.
Investigating officer DI Samantha Stuart said: “From our initial enquiries and reviewing CCTV we know there were a number of people who entered the toilet area during this time, including one lady who assisted the victim.
“I’m really keen to talk to anyone who was in the supermarket at the time and who used the toilets between 1.37pm and 2.30pm.”
