Work on the retail units which will make up phase two of the £30m Neats Court development has started.
Metals frames are currently being constructed at the Queenborough site which will be for home furnishings chain B&M and supermarket Iceland.
These buildings are known as phase 2a and altogether there will be seven retail outlets, as well as the Morrisons store, KFC and petrol station which opened last year.
Developer LXB Retail Properties says work on the second part of phase two (2b), which includes the premises for Poundland and Sports Direct, is slightly delayed as the wet weather has had a slight impact on contractor Cardy Construction Ltd.
Framework for those two shops is expected to start going up in April/May time.
It is hoped the work will be complete by the summer.
There is no more news at the moment about which other companies are expected to set up in the three spaces which have yet to be allocated.
Iceland will be keeping open its store in High Street, Sheerness, as well as having the new business.
Phase two is expected to create 150 jobs in addition to the 238 at Morrisons and 55 at KFC.
