Police have arrested a man and a woman after two workers at a Sheppey factory were shot in the back and leg in two separate incidents.
Both attacks are said to have happened in an alley off Queensway, Sheerness, as the alleged victims walked to work at Aesica Pharmaceuticals, Queenborough.
A man in his 20s was treated at Sheppey Community Hospital for a pellet wound to his back.
A woman in her 50s was taken to Medway Accident Centre with injuries to her back and leg.
It is understood the pellets were fired from a high-powered airgun.
Police confirmed two people had been arrested in connection with both of last Wednesday's incidents – a woman aged 56 and a man aged 32, both from Sheerness.
Both were released on bail until Friday, November 11 pending further enquiries.
A police spokesman said officers had seized an air rifle from a property near to where the alleged offences happened.
