Frontrunners Minster beat Hayes in top-of-the-table Kent Cricket League Premier Division game; St Lawrence & Highland Court, Bexley, Blackheath and Lordswood victorious

Frontrunners Minster cruised past Hayes in their top-of-the-table Kent League Premier Division game to move another step closer to winning the title on Saturday.
Captain Kai Appleby with a swash-buckling 101 from 50 balls, supported by Aron Nijjar (65), led Minster towards 304 all out. Alfie Peck (3-79) among the wickets for Hayes.
There were half-centuries for Rory Low (68) and Scott Gallagher (53) but Max Luckett and Daniel Masters - with 3-25 and 3-39, respectively - ensured Hayes were skittled for 203.
St Lawrence & Highland Court moved up to second in the table, two points ahead of Hayes, earning an eight-wicket win over Sandwich Town.
Alex Smith’s unbeaten 51 off 41 balls steered Sandwich to 222 all out, opening bowler Joseph Payne (4-53) again doing well.
Josh Julian (97) and skipper Matt Hammond (72) put on an opening-wicket 152-run stand before Australian overseas all-rounder Jason Sangha’s unbeaten 49 from 43 balls got them across the line in the 32nd over.
Blackheath edged past second-bottom Canterbury by eight runs.
George Wells’ 62 led Blackheath to 251 all out despite skipper Jarryd Taig’s figures of 3-41.
Taig, opening the batting, struck 84 to give Canterbury a strong platform but wickets for Riley Ayre (2-41), Jahid Ahmed (2-44) and Kent’s Arafat Bhuiyan (2-57) left Canterbury 243 all out with four balls to spare.
Bexley saw off basement boys Bickley Park by eight wickets.
Park were skittled for 135 despite opening batsman Cam Hawkins (34) giving them a decent platform. Anish Patel’s fine figures of 3-15 led the way for Bexley.
In response, opening batsman Varun Anand’s unbeaten 62 saw Bexley across the line in 40 overs.
Defending champions Lordswood are sixth, having won by seven wickets at Tunbridge Wells.
Abdullah Nazir returned excellent figures of 4-8 from six overs as Lordswood restricted Tunbridge Wells to 151 all out while Chris Williams top scored for Tunbridge Wells with 37 from 29 balls.
Opening batsman Linden Lockhart top scored, hitting 45, before Scottish international Calum MacLeod delivered an unbeaten 38 off 37 balls to get Lordswood across the line.
Sri Lankan overseas spinner Dileepa Jayalath (3-37) claimed all the Lordswood wickets to fall.
