Minster 2nds' opening batsman Neil Hosken insists the club have nothing to fear after winning promotion to the Kent League.
An eight-wicket victory over Mersham Sports sealed promotion by seven points for the club’s 2nd XI from Kent Regional League 2A East.
Hosken helped the 1st XI go on a similar journey almost a decade ago and has a good idea of what’s in store.
He said: “I would imagine staying up in Division 5 of the Kent League will be much easier than winning promotion from 2A East.
“In the Regional League there is only one promotion and one relegation and that is crazy.
“Holcombe lost just one game all season in 1A and didn’t get promoted. We lost just once and went up by the skin of our teeth.
“We should now be looking at going up again. History has shown that is what a lot of clubs have done and we are on an upward curve.”
