Boy charged with attempted murder after teenage girl stabbed in Adelaide Drive, Sittingbourne

A 12-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a 15-year-old girl was stabbed.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons relating to his age, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon by officers investigating the assault of the teenager in Sittingbourne.
It comes after police were called to Adelaide Drive at 3.55pm on Friday, March 22, following reports a 15-year-old girl had suffered injuries consistent with a knife wound.
Officers attended with paramedics and the girl was taken to a London hospital.
The boy, who was arrested yesterday, is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, on Monday, March 25.
At the time of the incident, an air ambulance was also called to help the victim.
