2 held after police find stolen puppy

KENT Police officers today recovered a stolen puppy and arrested two people on suspicion of theft.
At about 8.20am this morning enquiries led officers to an address in Hawkins Road, Sittingbourne, where they seized the female Pomeranian pup.
The puppy was taken to Sittingbourne Police Station where is it being cared for before being returned to its owner.
It is thought the animal was one of three stolen in a burglary at a property in Regis Crescent, Sittingbourne, between 5pm and 8.40pm on Thursday, January 5.
Police are continuing to appeal for any information that will lead to the return of the outstanding male and female puppies.
Police spokeswoman Sally Smith said: "A 26-year-old Sittingbourne man and a 27-year-old Sittingbourne woman have been arrested on suspicion of theft and are currently in police custody awaiting interview."
