A broken down lorry and an accident have caused lengthy tailbacks on the A249 at Stockbury roundabout.
The HGV came to a halt on the Maidstone-bound carriageway, between Sittingbourne and the M2, at about 4pm. Congestion was back to Key Street.
Then at about 5pm, police were called after reports of a smash involving a tractor and a car.
The accident is said to have happened on the Sittingbourne-bound side, just before the roundabout. Queues were building back towards the county showground.
