Lorry and a car involved in a collision on the A2 at Key Street in Sittingbourne
13:00, 15 October 2015
There are lengthy delays on Sittingbourne's roads this afternoon after an accident on the A2.
A lorry and a car were involved in a collision in Key Street at about 11.50am today.
Police were called and the road was reportedly blocked.
A force spokesman said no one was thought to have been injured.
The traffic problems are believed to have been exacerbated by a lorry becoming wedged in the pinch-points in Church Road, Murston, which has since been cleared.
There were also delays through town this morning due to an accident on the coast-bound M2 near the Stockbury roundabout.
And a second accident in two days on the M20 also led to delays on the Maidstone-bound A249 between Stockbury and the bottom of Detling Hill during this morning's rush-hour.
