A charity fun day organised by estate agents Ward and Partners raised around £2,000 at the Plough Inn, Lewson Street, Sittingbourne.

After being opened by Paddington Bear, the event ran from 12.30pm until around 9.30pm on Sunday, with live music from Cultured Pearl, Nikki Alexander and Joe.

The fun day raised £1,949 for Action Medical Research and the EllenorLions Hospices’ chYps appeal.

There were various stalls and attractions ranging from a bouncy castle and a barbecue, to sumo wrestlers and a tug of war.

Organiser Steve Payne said the event was part of a company-wide initiative.

An auction raised around £800, with lots including an electric golf cart and a spa day at Hempstead House Hotel, Bapchild.

Mr Payne, a group partner at Ward and Partners, thanked Plough landlords Kevin and Carol James.
