16:40, 03 June 2016
Police are appealing for information after firearms were stolen from a house in Teynham.
Thieves forced open the back door and took a wooden cabinet containing cash, jewellery, watches and other personal belonging from the property in Lower Road.
It is believed the theft happened between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Sunday, May 29.
Police would only say "a number" of firearms were taken and no other details were available.
The cabinet is chocolate brown in colour and measures about 5ft 5in tall, 12in wide and 8in deep.
Police say the cabinet would have been lifted over a garden fence after being prized off the landing wall.
Anyone who knows where the cabinet is now or who has any further information is urged to call the appeal line on 01795 419119.
