Specsavers staff at The Forum shopping centre, Sittingbourne, keen to thank woman who donated glasses to its Vision Aid Overseas appeal
17:30, 29 October 2014
The Sittingbourne branch of Specsavers is searching for the good samaritan who donated 55 pairs of glasses to its Vision Aid Overseas appeal.
The gift was made by a woman who found them in a drawer of a house she had moved into.
The shop, at The Forum, are keen to recognise her generosity by giving her a free eye test and new pair of glasses.
Store director Graham Jones said: “We’re very grateful to the lady who provided us with these glasses. We’ve sent the frames off to our glazing laboratory so we can give them to VAO as soon as possible.”
The charity works in several African countries to improve access to eye care.
If you happen to know the woman who made the donation, in August, call 01795 436100 or visit www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/sittingbourne
