Armed police help arrest three men in Sittingbourne after alleged robbery in Brenzett near Ashford

Armed police were involved in arresting three men in Sittingbourne after reports of a robbery near Ashford.
Firearms officers were deployed, along with traffic police, after a man was alleged to have been robbed in Rhee Wall, Brenzett at 8.42am today.
Three men were detained about an hour later on the A2 at Sittingbourne.
A police spokesman said: “Officers identified a vehicle believed to contain the suspects and three men were later arrested in connection with the incident.
“A 34-year-old man from Swanley, a 55-year-old man from Iwade and a 42-year-old man from Sittingbourne remain in police custody.”
