An annual outdoor arts extravaganza has been cancelled due to fears about the weather.
The seventh celebration of arts, crafts and creations was due to be held at Milton Creek Country Park in Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, tomorrow (Saturday).
Thousands of families and children of all ages were expected to descend on the park between 11am and 4pm to enjoy free craft sessions, paid-for workshops, entertainment at the band stand with live music, a steel band and a giant moving sculpture of a tree.
However, Swale council has just broken the news about the event's cancellation on Twitter.
A council spokesman said: "Due to poor weather expected tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, organisers have taken the difficult decision to cancel Art in the Park in Milton Creek Country Park.
"The expected strong winds would have made it difficult to safely run the event, so unfortunately it has been cancelled."
A yellow warning of wind has been issued by the Met Office.
The weather experts said: "Strong winds are expected to cause disruption, particularly during the day on Saturday."
The first Art in the Park was in 2012.
