Woman charged with attempted murder following incident on Bobbing Roundabout, on the A249, near Sittingbourne

A woman has been charged with attempted murder following allegations a pedestrian was deliberately hit by a car.
A man was taken to hospital following the incident at the Bobbing Roundabout on the A249, near Sittingbourne, at around 5.20am on Friday (May 31).
Police patrols and paramedics attended the scene where the pedestrian was treated for injuries.
He was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical attention and has since been discharged.
A woman was also reported to have been assaulted during the incident, involving a white Volkswagen Golf.
On Sunday (June 2), Lauren Willis, of Wollaston Close, Parkwood, was arrested and has now been charged with attempted murder, two counts of actual bodily harm and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The 26-year-old is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today (June 4).
Officers are appealing to witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact the appeal line. Motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.
