Sittingbourne mums given baby transport tips
14:54, 04 June 2013
Mums were taught how to transport their baby without the aid of wheels.
Parents tried out carriers, papooses and backpacks as a pushchair substitute at Pulse Cafe in Sittingbourne.
The Sling Meet was organised by Babywearing Swale to demonstrate alternative ways of keeping little ones close.
Ann-Marie Eighteen, the cafe’s trainee manager, said: “It was a really useful and informative afternoon.
“We had about a dozen mums attend and they found it a really positive and enjoyable experience.
“A couple of them even stayed for lunch, so that really helped the cafe out as well.”
