Another school in the Kent town with the most pupils and staff impacted by coronavirus has confirmed it has a positive case.
Borden Grammar School, in Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, sent a letter to parents yesterday morning telling them about the positive test in a Year 9 form group.
It said: "I regret to inform you that we have, this morning, received information that there has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 within the school community.
"While this is a obviously a concern, you will be aware from the national and local picture that we actually have been relatively lucky to have avoided this so far."
The letter added how those in close contact with the person with the virus were sent home and told to isolate for 14 days.
It said: "Please bear in mind that we have made great efforts within the school to maintain separation bubbles so that all year groups are kept separate, have staggered social times and enter through different gates.
"The school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.
"We have communicated with all parents and children who may have been in contact so please don't worry unnecessarily."
It comes in the same month five other schools in the town told pupils to self isolate after positive cases.
Borden Grammar School has been approached for comment.
