Council silent over absent chief executive

THE leader of Swale Borough Council is remaining tight-lipped about the future of its chief executive Mark Bilsborough who has been officially on compassionate leave for several weeks.
Cllr Andrew Bowles said: “The absence of the chief executive remains a private matter and, as such, I am unable to comment on it or expand on previous statements, even to staff."
He added: “I can reassure the public that services will not be affected.”
