A249: Two cars collide near Sittingbourne and a man is taken to hospital

A crash on the Sheppey-bound A249 near Sittingbourne has led to lengthy delays this afternoon.
Two vehicles are understood to have collided just after 4pm, leaving one of them off the dual-carriageway between Stockbury and Key Street at Sittingbourne.
South East Coast Ambulance Service was also called and a man was taken to hospital with neck and chest injuries.
A police spokesman said officers had remained at the scene to wait for the vehicle to be recovered.
Firefighters from Rochester Fire Station were also sent to help.
