The Sheppey Crossing was shut after an accident earlier this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Island-bound carriageway at about 6.15am.
Traffic was diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge and Sheppey Way until about 11am.
No injuries have been reported.
At about 9.50am, Highways England said the vehicles had been recovered but the bridge was still closed.
Its tweet said: "Recovery for the collision is complete, however we are now awaiting the attendance of our Area Team's gritters to treat the carriageway."
The route was finally reopen by about 11am, according to the Highways Agency.
