Items stolen from Shell petrol station on London Road in Sittingbourne and Co-op in Milton Regis
14:45, 11 September 2015
A Sittingbourne petrol station was targeted by a thief just 24 hours after a similar theft at a shop in Milton Regis.
Police were called to the Shell on London Road at about 8pm last night after reports of cash being stolen.
A police spokesman said a small amount of money was taken and inquiries were ongoing.
The theft followed a distraction burglary at the Co-op in Milton Regis High Street at 8pm on Wednesday.
In that case, a man asked for a packet of cigarette papers and snatched cash from the till while the cashier’s back was turned.
The spokesman added: “Inquiries are ongoing so I can’t comment on any potential links to other offences at this stage.”
