William Magee, of Chelmsford, Essex, appears in court after the death of Barbara Phipps in Teynham

A lorry driver is to appear at Maidstone Crown Court after being arrested following the death of a cyclist.
William Magee, 58, of Readers Court, Chelmsford, Essex, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.
Barbara Phipps, from Lynsted, died after being involved in a collision with a Co-op lorry in London Road, Teynham on Saturday, February 13. She was 73.

Magee appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday and the case was committed to crown court, where a hearing is due to take place on September 23.
