Drivers face an eight-mile diversion due to a motorway slip road being shut - and then more headaches when part of an A-road closes.
The M2 junction 5 London-bound exit at Sittingbourne will be off limits for two nights.
This is to allow National Highways to continue with a major £92 million revamp of the Stockbury Roundabout.
Drivers won’t be able to use the slip road from 8pm to 5am next Monday (November 4) and Tuesday (November 5).
During the closure, the Oad Street link road and South Green Lane will also be closed.
Motorists who want to exit the M2 at Sittingbourne must instead continue along the M2 to Junction 4 and use the coastbound carriageway to get to junction 5.
National Highways says traffic heading to Oad Street from Stockbury should follow a diversion via the Key Street Roundabout, Maidstone Road and Chestnut Street.
During the closure of South Green Lane on Tuesday, workers will be painting a single yellow line outside Vale Cottages to reinstate parking restrictions.
The layby next to the homes needs to be clear of any vehicles during this time.
Later on in the week, the A249 Maidstone-bound will be shut overnight from the Bobbing Roundabout to the Stockbury Roundabout.
This will be between 8pm on Wednesday to 5am on Thursday (November 7), while temporary safety barriers are installed.
Diversion signs are set to be put in place via Sheppey Way, A2, A229 and the A249.
From 5am on Thursday when the road reopens, a lane will be closed on the A249, Maidstone-bound, for 10 days.
It will also be closed for one night from the Stockbury Roundabout to Church Hill, from 8pm Thursday (November 7) to 5am Friday.
Drivers travelling from Sittingbourne will be diverted off the A249 to the Stockbury Roundabout.
From there a signed diversion route will be via the M2 London-bound, A229, M20 and A249.
Non-motorway traffic should exit the A249 at the Bobbing Roundabout and use Sheppey Way, A2, A229 and A249.
