Queues have cleared after a two-car crash blocked part of a busy dual carriageway.

The collision happened shortly after 7am on the A249 southbound between the A2 Keycol Hill and the M2 junction 5, close to Sittingbourne Golf Club.

It's believed one of the cars has hit the central reservation.

Police were called to the scene and the road was blocked while the vehicles were recovered.

It's not believed anyone was seriously injured.

The road has since reopened. Delays had eased by 9.30am.
