Children will be part of the annual Swale Fusion Festival parade today with Bhangra dancers.
People are welcome to start gathering at Wilko in Sittingbourne High Street from about 5.45pm ready for the parade to set off at 6pm.
Dance troupe Four By Four will be there.
They performed traditional Bhangra dancing in the High Street and outside the railway station last weekend to raise awareness of the event.
Youngsters who have designed and made their own lanterns at Ideas Test will also be taking part as they head towards Albany Park for fireworks at 7.10pm.
The festival is a celebration of colour, light, music and art.
Cohesion Plus artistic director, Gurvinder Sandher, said: "I'm so pleased to bring Bhangra and the Connect Together project to Sittingbourne.
"It’s an exciting project that links in with our aim of using the arts to bring people together.
"I'm incredibly proud to be returning to Swale to deliver such a vibrant and important event which brings together the local communities through the arts and celebrates our shared British values.
"This is an important area for us to work in as the area traditionally has low levels of engagement, therefore we are particularly pleased to be working with local arts organisations such as Ideas Test to increase access and participation in the arts."
