Sittingbourne's New Century Cinema shows Star Wars: The Force Awakens film
14:00, 16 December 2015
More than 200 Star Wars fans have booked tickets to see the eagerly-awaited next instalment at Sittingbourne’s New Century Cinema.
A screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due to take place at the High Street venue at midnight tomorrow.
It will be the first time such an event has been held at the cinema since it reopened in January and manager Terry Woolnough said it had been a record-breaking response to a pre-booked showing.
“We’ve never had that many bookings before,” he added.
“We’re expecting a lot of people to dress up.”
The New Century has a capacity of just over 300 and Mr Woolnough said he thought there would be a number of sell-out viewings.
Booking in advance is not usually possible but tickets, at £4, are on sale for showings on Thursdays or Fridays.
