Fire in Albion Terrace Milton Regis
11:50, 15 January 2016
Firefighters have been tackling a fire in a house in Milton Regis this morning.
Crews were sent to Albion Terrace, off Brewery Road and Cooks Lane, at about 10.15am.
Three people were in at the time but were alerted to the fire when a smoke alarm sounded.
The fire was said to have been on the second of three floors.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property to fight the flames.
By 11.30am, a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said they were damping down.
They used high-power fans to ventilate the home and neighbouring properties.
Three fire engines were initially sent but the spokesman said the incident had been scaled down, although about 10 firefighters remained at the scene.
