The opening date of Kent's first Greggs' drive-thru has been pushed back.
Work to convert the former Regis Medical Centre in Milton Regis, near Sittingbourne into a branch of the bakery chain was due to complete this autumn.
The site this week showed the familiar blue branding around the building but the franchise has confirmed it will now not be ready for customers until next year.
The takeaway unit is also set to be joined by two more fast-food joints.
Swale council previously confirmed two buildings, which have also been approved at the site, will contain two smaller takeaway units.
They are being advertised to let by Harrisons chartered surveyors.
The rear unit is being advertised as £45,000 per annum but it can be split into two smaller units at £25,000 per unit per annum.
Construction at the site is also bringing a new car park for Milton Creek Country Park.
The beauty spot will be able to finally open a car park completing a 29-year-long ambition.
Park ranger Kristian Staples previously said: “When it was originally built an area was set aside.
“Since Greggs have bought the land for their new drive-thru and agreed to build an access road to the country park, an area with 60 spaces will be available to the public."
An exact opening date for Greggs, which recently opened a new store at Hempstead Valley in Gillingham, is yet to be confirmed.
A spokesman said: "Greggs is due to open a drive-thru in Sittingbourne in 2023 and while we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will be sure to share further information in due course."
