11:00, 04 September 2016
Six fire engines attended a large blaze at a barn in Kingsdown after a 999 call at around 9 this morning.
The building was close to the junction of Dully Road and Kingsdown Road and both were temporarily closed to traffic.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said as the blaze was brought under control, the number of pumps was reduced, with the stop call coming finally just before 1pm.
People who had been evacuated from nearby buildings as a safety precaution were allowed to return.
There were no reports of any injuries.
