“This tabby kitten has been remarkably lucky to have survived,” the charity explained.

“At 1pm on Saturday, he or she ran under a car in Homewood Avenue, Sittingbourne, climbed inside the wheel and disappeared.

“Thorough searches were carried out under the car and under the bonnet but the kitten was not found and the people assumed it had run away.

“The driver then journeyed to the New Forest where the kitten reappeared. The kitten is currently in the care of a vet.

“We have no further details as yet.”

After covering 122 miles – travelling across two counties – many animal lovers offered to give the kitten a home or pay for their neutering.

The charity are appealing for the owners to come forward or those who have any information.
