Laim Doran dominated the last race of the year in the British Rallycross Championship to snatch a second place finish in the series.
The title had already been won by his father Pat and Doran junior, from Sittingbourne, knew a win was a must to leapfrog his way from fifth to make it a family one-two.
The result at Mallory Park made it a first ever father-son one-two result in the championship’s 33 year history.
Doran led the Superfinal from start to finish and his third event win of the year made it seven wins from eight for the Doran Motorsport team.
Pat Doran is a former Sittingtbourne resident but now lives in Winkleigh, Devon.
