A crash caused long delays on the A249 this evening.
The Maidstone-bound carriageway was blocked between the Key Street roundabout and Stockbury, following a collision between a car and a lorry at 2.50pm.
Delays were stretching back to the turn off for Bobbing and there was also congestion on the A2 London Road between Sittingbourne and Rainham due to the volume of traffic avoiding the A249.
Police were called to the scene but no injuries were reported. The road was partially closed for vehicle recovery but re-opened at around 5.30pm.
Kent Highways was advising drivers to expect delays and allow extra time for their journeys.
